how it works
Pick a "secret student" before class, and put their name under the question mark box. Keep an eye out on that student, and if he/she follows your classroom expectations, then their name is revealed at the end of class. I've provided ideas for rewards as well!
tracker
Keep track of who has already been the "secret student" using the secret student calendar to ensure you don't pick the same student twice. Super easy- just add their name on the date they were chosen as the secret student.
formats
Use the Google Slides format to easily copy and paste the slides into your lessons during distance learning. Printer-friendly versions of the slides are available for in-person learning as well!

DIY SLIME PARTY
If your students love slime as much as mine, then this incentive is PERFECT for your class! All you need is glue, contact solution, baking soda, and food coloring. Make the slime with your students on Zoom, and the kids can keep the slime to play with at home!
VIP TABLE
This incentive is great to use to highlight individual students who are showing specific academic success. These students received 100% on their vocabulary assessments; therefore, they sat at the VIP table for the day and had the privilege of listening to music while they worked, lining up first, using fun pencils/erasers, and playing academic games on the ipads after finishing their classwork.

GLOW IN THE DARK DANCE PARTY
Are you even a teacher if you don't embarrass yourself during distance learning? It's easy, just distribute glow sticks to your students during materials pickup, and have a Zoom dance party from your closet. The kids were laughing hysterically and had a ball picking out songs to play. I'll do anything to keep them motivated!
DECORATING
WATER BOTTLES
My students are obsessed with the idea of decorating Hydro Flasks. I'm a teacher on a budget, so I bought these water bottles at Dollar Tree, and had them decorate them with stickers. I tapped into their interests by providing Minecraft, Among Us, Fortnite, and fashion stickers. I was blown away by my students' excitement, and now they bring their water bottles to class every day.
